This merry Mingus medley brought to you by the letter m, as in middle. And the number 5, as in five weeks and counting.
I have passed the halfway mark. Working in batches to catch up, I missed the pomp and circumstance. And the chance to share a properly timed celebratory composition.
Still, I feel like saying… Wooo Hooo!
Fathers fifth week in the hospital, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
That deserves a Wooo Hooo too!
And a HALELULEJAH AMEN!
Catching up! I love #50…. has a lovely calm feel!
One of my favorites as well Carol
I read something once that said that a mountain peak should always be close to the cntre of a painting. I’m not sure I agree, but #50 certainly complies and is my favorite of this selection.
Interesting Sea. And I usually do not think about where the peak is going to land. I worry more about the horizontal lines, and not having those too centered. Something “new” to be aware of.
Woohoo! Prayers for your dad. Hugs…
(My aren’t “sticking” for some reason. If you get duplicate comments or “triplicate” comments, that’s why…)
That is funny Chandra. I often have to submit comments on your posts 2 times before it will go through. Thanks for being persistent!! I would miss you
Woohoo! Prayers for your dad. Hugs…
Hugs and thanks Chandra
Love your skies! Beautiful as always.
Aww, thanks Lana. So nice to hear that. I love painting the skies as much as I do the hills
Congrats on getting to the half way point! I really like the last painting – just absolutely super Sheila!
Thanks Val, and thank you! So awesome to hear
1. Glad to hear there is light at the end of the (long hospitalization) tunnel for Pete. Joining you: woo hoo!
2. Love the colors in Mingus Day #48 which, ironically, call to mind the view I have when I visit my daughter in east coast verdant Shendandoah Valley.
3. #49 captures me with its possibility of patches of lichen on rock and its quiet presence of that back third range.
4. Woo hoo for your having made it mid-century, Sheila!
Shenandoah… would love to see that part of the country
Lichen… cool
Mid-century, LOL. Thank goodness it doesn’t feel like a century! But sitting in a hospital chair… that’s another story, LOL
Thank you Dotty for shining your light my way
