Photos & Postcards
A gorgeous unexpected rainy day! Hooray! Takes more than a terrific camera to get a great shot. LOL. These are all slightly out of focus, my apologies. The colors were calling me. I guess I wasn’t paying close enough attention. Mingus has a cap of snow, behind the cloud cover.
I love how everything can be shadowed and gray, and then the sun peeks out and highlights the hills, or electrifies raindrops. Simple treasures.
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass.
It’s about learning how to dance in the rain.

I am putting some of my scraps to use. The flowers were late night play. I was inspired by our moody clouds today, and had fun trying to capture the moment. I think I know why saguaros are so often painted with curved arms. This one looks like a creature from outer space, or a weird desert cheerleader. Rah, rah, sis, boom, bah.
I’ve learned that no matter what happens,
or how bad it seems today, life does go on,
and it will be better tomorrow.
I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person
by the way he/she handles these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage,
and tangled Christmas tree lights.

A Quick Hello
Hello! Hello Rain! Rain on Mingus. Dark and foreboding. The sun is above us now, but we had two brief spritzing’s. Heaven! I hope it lasts.
Awhile back I took these photos. I changed phones, and the new camera is great! I need to learn how to use it.
I’m very excited. On my old phone this would just look like a fuzzy yellow blob. Never knew there was a trail on the hill. Wow! Haha. Amen for free upgrades!
The Sun loves the Moon so much that he dies every night
to let her breathe, and in return, she reflects his love.

I am taking part in Karen Abend’s Sketchbook Revival. This is my second event. I am days behind, but I am having so much fun. You receive two sessions a day, videos to follow along. And each instructor offers free gifts, more lessons, tips, or inspirations. The workshop runs for several weeks and it is free. You work at your own pace, and can start at anytime. Take a look!
I love meeting the instructors, new artists to follow, and learning new ways to be creative. Watercolor, mixed media, collage, journaling. And that is just the first days!
ps… the rain has cleared. LOL 🙂
