In the Spring, I have counted 136 different
kinds of weather inside of 24 hours.

I have thought some of these sketchy pieces might actually be fun as starts for further exploration. I’m thinking pastels. But I need to buy some first. Ha ha ha. I deliberately left these with minimal details for that reason.
WOO HOO! Official completed the first month. Thirty days. Thirty Mingus paintings. Whew! I am enjoying these quick sketchy pieces. Fun to see details that happen entirely without my intention. Like the shadows and light on Mingus below.
Having reached this milestone, I thought I would share a few of my favorites. To see a slideshow of all thirty, click the link at the end of the post.
It wasn’t the last! Two more awesome postcards arrived yesterday. YAY! I LOVE Sharon’s colorful cat. The childlike rendition just makes me smile. Pure fun! See more from Snap here. Oh that Owl!! On the back:
Kate found the sign for the Metra trains interesting, and so do I. Very historic, very European. Makes me wonder how many of these signs are in the city, and how long it took to install them. Mind boggling. Kate’s message was a wish for a happy Springtime.
Be sure to follow the link to Kate’s Facebook page. Both Kate and Sharon are sharing snaps of gorgeous flowers. Thank you Sharon and Kate, for sending your wonderful postcards my way! Made my day!
