Postcard Possibilities

Bits of Blue. Watercolor, pencil, crayon.

Even the scraps are interesting! The 9 x 12 is now four 4 x 6 postcards. I haven’t decided how they will be placed, or completed. I did get the idea to use one of the smaller strips on the back of the postcard. This will be mailed to the gallery in an envelope, so I can do layers without having to worry about it getting there undamaged. More tomorrow…

Kat’s postcard swap is getting closer, and closer… AND CLOSERNo, I am not excited at all. Uh, uh.

I have been dealing with computer issues, and tech stuff… AAUGH!!! BLEAH!! I have not put brush to paper in days. That’s enough to make me want to pull my hair out. But I am better now.

Kat shared some awesomeness with us today. I spent about 40 minutes visiting the artists sites. (Kat featured mine as well. Such a cool surprise! Thank You Kat!)

Oh, that little mouse is just too cute!

Happy day to you!

They won’t go out until Monday, but I have finished preparing my postcards for Kat Sloma’s exchange. I finished decorating the envelope today. This is the fourth year for the exchange.

There is still time to take part if you are interested. You can see art from the previous exchanges, and get all the details here for Kat Sloma’s Liberate Your Art Postcard Exchange. She has two great video’s of all the participants art.

It is so much fun getting everything ready for this event. But the real fun will start in about a month, when I start receiving postcards from fellow artists and photographers.

I will be sharing the postcards I receive as they come in, it will be like Christmas in March! I hope you will join me, you can sign up to receive my posts by email. (To the right, under my photo.)

Join me in this international exchange! You will receive five postcards from around the world, and one from Kat Sloma. Kat has a goal to reach 250 participants this year. Be one! You can order printed postcards with your art, or you can make your own. If you decide to make your own, comment on this post, and I will send you my template for the back of the postcards. Send your art out into the world!

I have made new friends each year in this exchange, and that is really the best part. There are always “extra” swap requests on the Facebook page too. I included extras for the volunteers who help her as well.

Stay tuned!

Enjoy your Sunday, and happy creating to you!
