Whoa! Am I behind in sharing! I have 3 posts in the works. But I have been struggling to keep up with the 30 day challenge. Busy days, and very little time to sit and paint. Staying up late has not been the solution it usually is. I have painted just about as many horrible abstracts, as you see paintings here. Working in pairs or threes, hoping for at least one good something to post for the day. Still ticking, though. 😉

Here they are. The month so far. All a combination of watercolor, digital collage, poetry, or music. Patterns, and sometimes pen. Below are close ups. You may still have to zoom in to see finer details. You can see them individually on Instagram.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Wishing you JOY & happy creating!

I had the urge to paint. Already March 15. First painting of the month. Whoa. I always feel guilty that March is a month of little artistic output for me. I am always very busy after the gathering.

First with the group blog post, and Pinterest board. Then with organizing the group digital files. All of the graphics I created, the banner, album covers, and inspirationals. Files I used for painting reference or inspriation get moved to my permanent Inspo file, or trashed.

You know how much I love to organize. Sometimes I think I make a mess just so I can clean it up. LOL. KIdding.

I spent a week working on my Society6 shop. They added new items, like a puzzle and a desk mat. I had to approve new items, and adjust the artwork or pattern to look best for each. Add to that the unfortunate surprise that some items I had turned “on” were off. And some that I had set as “off” were on. Not good. I have 92 designs listed, and there are over 60 items that can be made available for each of them. Huge task. More work there.

I am still home bound. I had an x-ray done today. Next Thursday I see the lung specialist. I’ll be posting an update. Praying that the Covid damage to my lungs is not as bad as expected.

I have to say though, that It feels great to be productive. Even if it is behind the scenes, and no one knows but me. Haha. I even have my next two posts planned.

Enjoy!

No surprises here. Flowers and Cacti. Cacti and flowers. I have a tiny sliver of Sap green left in my palette. Made it to the end, by the hair on my chinny, chin chin. 🙂 I am very happy with the work I produced. Hallelujah!

I’ve been hoping and praying for precipitation all month. You would never know it by looking at these sunny settings. The influence of the warm desert air no doubt.

This event kicked off our fourth year of the gathering. We welcomed many new members, a great way to begin! There were over 665 works of art created in our international group this month. An abundance of light being sent out into the world! We have members in England, Canada, Spain, Hungary, Australia, France, and Scotland. And of course from all over the US.

interfere with what you can do.

I worked in several small series this month. Cacti, wildflowers, abstracted flowers, potted plants, and my simplified floral still life. Each day what I sat down to paint was posted for viewing. Only one early painting failed so badly that I had to start over. There are two that made me cringe when I posted them. A few others I thought were mistakes, but they received the most comments. Proving again, I am not always a reliable judge of my work. 🙂

Below are my favorites. You can clearly see why my sap green is depleted. Haha. I always love hearing what your favorites are. One reason I number my collage.
Which did you like best, and why?

I am so grateful to have you follow along this month. Your encouragement and considerate critiquing will stay with me long after the challenge has ended. I pushed myself, because I did not want to let myself down. I did not want to miss participating. But I confess, I was reminded each day how many of you prayed for me (are praying). I did not want to let you down either.

You are the wind beneath my wings! Thank you, my friends!

In a few days, I will share art and collages from the many who took part in this round of the Creative Gathering. We are fortunate to have so many gifted artists, who work in a variety of mediums and styles. I am so honored to have the opportunity to see their work each day. And learn from their strengths.

You will love a virtual stroll through the Gathering’s Gallery!
