Two more complete, and two on the table. One thing is for sure, doing one a day will be easier than doing two to catch up. Maybe being behind was a blessing in disguise ‘ey?
Some days the distant trees are visible, and sometimes they disappear into the hills. Usually Mingus and that range are all one solid shade of dark. And sometimes the light catches, and new geographical details emerge.
This might be a work in progress. I started with a layer of matte medium then some honeycomb stencil. I added some hand lettering. Inspired by Dotty Seiter, and Laly Mille. My unfinished Laly piece was sitting on the desk next to me.
I added transparent layers, but as you can see. All those details were lost. Just as I finished with the stenciling, Janet’s latest post popped in my box. Truth be told, I have long admired the depth she achieves in her work.
Watercolor, ink, and acrylics. Before the watercolor sky dried, there was wonderful granulation. Sorry to see that evaporate. I also wish the under layers were visible.
So counting this as #5. But I will go in and add back some of that texture. Next week when I am on schedule. Stay tuned 😉
On to number six!
