30 Paintings In 30 Days, Day 9

“A man watches his pear-tree day after day, impatient for the ripening of the fruit. Let him attempt to force the process, and he may spoil both fruit and tree. But let him patiently wait, and the ripe pear at length falls into his lap!” – Abraham Lincoln

Here is a quick and healthy pear recipe that also makes an impressive presentation. Take thin slices of the whole fruit, top with an ounce of goat, ricotta or blue cheese. Add a drizzle of honey and you are good to go. Mmmm.

30 Paintings In 30 Days, Day 8

Week one of Leslie Saeta’s September 30 Paintings In 30 Days is over. It was a struggle for me. Maybe I was trying to hard. The other artists taking part in this challenge are so very talented.

I managed to stay loose on this one, and did not overwork it. I didn’t even sketch it in first. I thought maybe that would help me to work faster and I do think it helped.

I have a recipe for a grilled cheese sandwich made with Brie, thinly sliced pear, and mustard on whole wheat bread. Doesn’t that sound delicious?

30 In 30, Day Seven

Hello all, I do hope you are staying cool and comfortable. And hydrated.  Here is my painting for Day seven of Leslie Saeta’s September 30 paintings in 30 days challenge. Thanks so much for visiting my site, I love hearing from you.

I don’t know how fall got into my head today. I think we were triple digits here.  But I started thinking about pears for dessert, maybe with a little cinnamon.  I found a recipe, and thought you might like to try it too.
