I received great news – I made it to the semi finals of this weeks Spoonflower design contest. There were over 750 entries, and those have been narrowed down to 100 finalists.
It is sponsored by Spoonflower and Robert Kaufman Fabrics. Semifinalists were announced May 9, 2013. Voting in the semifinal round will be open to the public from May 9-15. Eight finalists will be asked to expand their design into a four-piece collection. The winner from the group of eight finalists will be offered a contract from Robert Kaufman Fabrics along with $1000 advance against royalties, as well as a Wacom professional digital drawing tablet.
This is the design I entered. The theme is Geek Chic, fabric designs that celebrate nerd/geek culture. I call it Geek Garden.
And in yardage .
You can visit the design page here, to see where I got my inspiration. (you can see it larger there too) http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/2012961 If you visit, I would love to hear your comments!
To vote, it will only take a few minutes. When you are on the contest page, the announcement is on top right-hand side. Click on the yellow, “vote for your favorites” button. You will have to go through each page (only 7) to find my entry. Click on the image, and a green box will frame the design. Continue through each page to the end, and then you can finalize your vote. http://www.spoonflower.com/contests/189
