A Quick Hello

Hello! Hello Rain! Rain on Mingus. Dark and foreboding. The sun is above us now, but we had two brief spritzing’s. Heaven! I hope it lasts.

Awhile back I took these photos. I changed phones, and the new camera is great! I need to learn how to use it.

I’m very excited. On my old phone this would just look like a fuzzy yellow blob. Never knew there was a trail on the hill. Wow! Haha. Amen for free upgrades!

The Sun loves the Moon so much that he dies every night
to let her breathe, and in return, she reflects his love.

I am taking part in Karen Abend’s Sketchbook Revival. This is my second event. I am days behind, but I am having so much fun. You receive two sessions a day, videos to follow along. And each instructor offers free gifts, more lessons, tips, or inspirations. The workshop runs for several weeks and it is free. You work at your own pace, and can start at anytime. Take a look!

I love meeting the instructors, new artists to follow, and learning new ways to be creative. Watercolor, mixed media, collage, journaling. And that is just the first days!

ps… the rain has cleared. LOL 🙂

Do you remember that song? Or the movie it is from? A play on words. Made me laugh. I know, I know. I’m a geek. I recently watched The Movies that Made Us and it was in my head.

This design was recently posted on They Draw dot com. Scroll down on the first page to see it featured with the new designs. WOW! The artists are so amazing. The recipes always make me hungry. Haha. Or go to the design page and leave me some ❤️ and let me know your favorite way to enjoy limes. Thank you. 🥰

This design is available in fabrics, on pillows and finished textiles in my Spoonflower shop. You can also find it on mugs, bags, towels and more at Society6. I really love the Backpack. (click any image for a better view.)

Let there be seasons
so that our tongues will be rich
in asparagus and limes.

Lime is what you make of it.

Once upon a lime, there was a huge castle.

We have to draw the lime right here.

I’m late, so late. For a very important date! The Art on 45 online Auction is up and running. Bids are coming in fast. Christiane would love for you to stop by and check it out. Who knows, you might just find a piece of art you love, to bid on. All the details are on the card above. (Yes, slightly blurry, sorry.)

You will have to sign in on the site if you want to vote for favorites, but you do not have to give your information to do so. Show your support for all of the amazing artists. 🙂

It’s awesome that the show is taking place live this year. A very good sign.
Here’s to an awesome, successful event for Christiane,
and the Louisiana Center for the Blind!

Thanks for clicking through. Have a super weekend everyone!
