I lost track, thought I had posted last week. You can click on the images to see them larger, in a slideshow view. I am showing these out of order. I will post the collage, and my favorites collage soon. It was a fun month, and I learned quite a bit.
I see your furrowed brow. But soon enough, Valentines day will be here. Spoonflower is thinking ahead. Our challenge assignment this week is Funny Valentine. They are looking for a laugh, giggle or a smile.
Each of these cute Pandas has a message of their own. “You’re Beary cute”, “Time for a Bear Hug”, “You’re the Beary Best”, “You’re Beary Special”, “I love you Beary much”, “You make me Beary Happy”.
There is one main design, 4 variations, two colorways, and two coordinates with two variations. What time will the bus arrive if it leaves now? Kidding. (Sounds like a word problem.) Each coordinate comes plain, or with a linen effect.
This week there are 859 entries, voting is open now until December 6th.
Sophistication. Luxury. Sleek geometrics. 1920’s interiors were ornate, elegant and glamorous. Interior design had become a recognized profession. Parisian Art Deco was a major influence. Metallics made everything shine, and jewel tones added sparkle.
My first rendition had the detail at every junction of squares. In the second version, I opened it up, to emphasize the diamond formed in the design. I had a hard time choosing between the gold and the indigo diamond for my entry. I prefer the indigo. I think it is stronger. The gold fits the design brief and that is my entry. Voting is open now until the 15th.

Paper Moon. Music by Harold Arlen, lyrics by Yip Harburg & Billy Rose
