Dark Plaid received 36 votes last week. Thanks so much to all who voted! 🙂 This week, the Spoonflower theme is Space Exploration. I kept the design simple, and added textures for more interest. The background has a faux linen effect. For the main elements, there is a gauze overlay. Very minimal and a slightly larger scale that most of the other design entries.
There are lots of bold, colorful, fun entries. Take a peek if you’d like. Voting is open now.
Have a super day!
The sun loved the moon so much that he died every night to let her breathe. Unknown
Funny story. I worked on this design for a submission to Uppercase Magazine. The typography issue. But I missed the deadline. I was done, and I thought, I’ll look at it again tomorrow and make sure there aren’t any holes. Well, I woke up that morning knowing what day it was. But half way thru, my lupus brain glitched, and I lost track. LOL. UGH! Oh well. I have a new pattern, the swatches are ordered and it will be available in my Spoonflower shop soon.
Merry Christmas. In shades of prickly pear, desert rose, desert clay, Sedona sand, ocotillo red and desert pine.
Whew! I am amazed I was able to do so many collage pieces this month. Thank you Lord! They were so much fun, and I learned so much. Fear made me delay starting them. Stupid fear.
Spoonflower Design Challenges
I completed all of challenges this month. Again, Lots of learning here. I learned how to make a check and a plaid. And my speed is improving. Very happy about that.
Along with each challenge design, I was able to create a small collection with pattern variations and solid coordinates. I may also add a ditsy print, textured solid, stripe or other coordinating pattern to them.
For the Ikat Cross, I am going to make some slight changes before working on a collection. More fun ahead. I also will work more on the two Circle pattern Ideas. 🌻
Thanks so much for following along with me this month. Your encouragement is a blessing. And thank you so much, for voting in the design challenges. Thank you! 😊
