Woo Whoo!
Everyone is so excited!
I’M excited.

The 30-Day Creative Gathering has entered it’s 4th year. Bravo and congratulations to all of the participating artists who have helped to make the gathering so successful! A handful of new members have joined us for our sixth event. Hooray!

Today I was in the mood for subtle texture. It is dark and gloomy outside. Looks like snow. Only it won’t snow. I think that may have influenced my soft palette.

I’m off to start day two!

Art And Inspiration

30-Day Creative Gathering Group Gallery
September 2021

Our September Gathering was a huge success. Over 620 pieces of art were created.

Congratulations to each of the members who participated! That includes EVERYONE. If you painted one day, or 30, the effort counts. A few of you were only able to participate through conversations and comments. Acting as a cheering squad and offering suggestions when questions were asked. Thank you all!

3 years of the 30-Day Creative Gathering!

This event completes our third year of “Gathering”. Congratulations everyone!

I am so honored to share a history with so many talented artists. Your work is amazing! I applaud your learning and experimenting. Your fearlessness. Your desire for growth. Your generosity and graciousness.

Our group is open to all, in any medium. Painting, drawing, collage, photography, sketching, digital art and even 3D sculptural art were included in this round. Our goal is to be creative every day, for 30 days. For many of us, that means showing a finished piece each day. But for some, it means sharing a work in progress until the piece is complete.

Our international group has beginners and professionals. We gather twice a year, in February and September. If you would like to join us or know someone who would, you can find us here. A huge thank you to all for granting permission to show your work here and on the group Pinterest board. It is a gorgeous gallery!

I am so excited to share this small selection of fabulous art. I know you will love it as much as I do. Feel free to leave comments for the artists. Follow their links for more information. Enjoy!

September 2021 30-Day Creative Gathering Collage

Sheila Delgado Sept 2021 30-Day Creative Gathering Collage

Welcome October! And goodbye to the September 2021 30-Day Creative Gathering. We had another successful event, the start of our third year as a group. WOW!

I am extremely happy with my work this month. I didn’t have a plan, or theme in mind. I’m pretty sure I always say that. Haha. And I was not able to prep at all before we started. I worked mostly with mixed media. I started with some collage and experimented with a few tools I rarely use. That was fun, and very time intensive. I went with abstracts next, Color field painting. I have often included these in my 30-Day events.

As you can see, I continued with florals. Mixed media as well, this time adding crayons to the mix. I used them as wax resist along with watercolors. I had so much fun playing with crayons, I just couldn’t stop. Apparently. Haha!

There are a handful that I may go back and add to, or tweak a bit. There are only two that I think are duds. Days 18 and 22. That is a pretty good percentage.

I love the daily conversations with my artist friends. I miss them the most when the challenge ends. Seeing amazing art each day is so inspiring and uplifting! A huge thank you to all of my fellow gatherer’s! For sharing your process, your successes, and your lessons learned when things didn’t go as hoped. I always learn so much from you!

As always, I also put together some of my favorites. They are the ones I had the most fun with. I’d love to hear which pieces you liked the best. 🙂
