Day one is done. And so is my Liberate Your Art postcard swap envelope. Two birds, one stone. Layers on layers here. At the end, I took a nail file and sanded off some of the top soil.

Ready for day two!

Don’t forget to say hello, and follow me on Instagram!

Sketch book is starting to fill up. I love the sound and feel of the wrinkly, crinkly paper. Each time I flip for a new page, I am reminded of these small accomplishments. For some reason, the small white pages are less intimidating. The book is a place for fun.

So, busy sketching, just not getting as far as posting them. More on the way.

This last piece was palette knife practice. It started as an abstract. I have five nearly empty bottles of paint on my desk. Trying to use them up before next month.

Next Month!! Next week!!

Better get to it!

Happy weekend everyone!

A small brown paper package found its way to my mailbox.

Inside, this wonderful work of art!

Did you notice the little bird?

I just love the simple marks, and warm colors. I can tell Michelle had fun making this!

This tiny pop-up arrived as well.

I just love this little card. So cute! It made me think of a Cracker Jack prize. Remember how excited you were to find it? I don’t know who thought these up, but I think they are the bee’s knees!

Thank you Michelle! Your joyful gifts made me smile!

Today I am thankful for real mail, new friends, Pete home from the hospital, and Mom’s turkey soup! Also most grateful for the weekend’s sales in my Society6 shop! Well, that’s just a start.

What are  you thankful for today?
