Paper, acrylics, crayons, Zig writer, Posca white, Liquitex Portrait Pink Pen. I started with scribbles to “activate” the paper as they say. The early marks are were still visible under the layers of paint, so I decided to accentuate them.
I added circles in bright pink, but the crayon was muted on the acrylic. I tried the Liquitex pen and that added a shine, an interesting addition. I outlined some of the circles and filled in others. Next, I added white to some of them. Now there is shiny white, glossy pink, and a flat background.
I am not really a fan of mid-century modern. And I am not sure this falls into that category. It turned out completely different from what I had in mind. Haha, how many times have I said that before? But I have two more in the series.
Happy Day one everyone! Let’s have some fun!
Play, have fun and take risks. Someone somewhere will always love your work. It’s not your job to like or love your work. Your job is to enjoy the process of creating it. Wyanne Winter
We had a SPECTACULAR September! 30 days of creating. Painting, drawing, collaging, photographing. Experimenting! I am so excited to share a small selection of the fabulous art that was created this month.
Our group is open to all, in any medium. Our goal is to be creative every day, for 30 days. For most of us, that means showing a finished piece each day. But for some, it means sharing a work in progress until the piece is complete.
Our international group has artists from beginners to professionals. We gather twice a year, in February and September, on Facebook. If you would like to join us or know someone who would, you can find us here.
I know you will be pleased with the artworks. Please feel free to leave comments for the artists. Many of the artists do commissions. Follow their link for more information. Enjoy!
Congratulations to all of the AMAZING artists! Bravo! For challenging yourselves, trying something new, for dedicating time to your art! Thank you for sharing your work with us! Thank you for being so kind, so generous with your praise and recommendations. See you all in February!

The September 30-Day Creative Gathering was a hit! Participation was down, but many artists who could not take part daily still contributed to the conversations and camaraderie.
Fourteen to Twenty pieces were posted each day in the daily albums. And roughly 586 pieces of art were created in the group this month. WOW!
Congratulations to all of you! You persevered through Hurricane Laura, California wildfires, health issues, COVID and all of the demands of life in this unusual year. Whether you created on a few days, or all 30, congratulations!
For a tough month, I think I did OK. It was a struggle for me. I created 16 really, really bad pieces of art. Haha. Many days I worked on two or three at a time. To increase the odds of having something decent to share. Haha. And yet, almost half of the art I posted is on my favorites list. How ’bout that?! Some of these will be posted for sale in my Society6 shop soon.
Thanks so much for following along! Your encouragement keeps me going! You are a blessing!
