I am really pleased with how the background turned out on this. It was difficult to hide the seam. There are sections that look like the seam is showing, but it is just part of the coloring. This is for the Birding Design Challenge. Here is a close-up.
I had a few ideas to add more to this, but I opted to turn it in early so I could prepare for the 30 day gathering. I have started on the next challenge design. A complicated Victorian floral.
Voting is open until the 6th. So many amazing designs presented!
Granny Square Floral placed at 482 of 718 with 29 votes. I was blown away by all of the fabulous designs! Thanks so much for voting! 🙂
Love the moon and the road runner! Perfect title and background! I am floored again with all the entries. Wow! So many talented artists! So many magnificent designs.
Thank you Karin! I was a little weary by the end of voting, but I didn’t want to miss any. LOL. 🙂
They are fabulous. Makes me want to be better. The name came first with this one, which is unusual for me. Haha.
So glad you like it, thanks again Karin! 🙂
Thought oh she is early Easier to find, not. I like the dark in this one
Haha, nope. They randomize the view each time. So everyone has an equal chance. 🙂
The name came to me first, so it had to be dark. I actually had the background a little darker. But one of the filters I used lightened it a bit.
I think it was a good thing. LOL. 🙂 Thanks for taking the time Nelvia 🙂
Hi my friend Sheila: Are these roadrunners ?? We have had a roadrunner visitor a couple of times this week on our back patio … beep, beep !!!
How lucky Cindy. 🙂 I have seen a few, but most of them were down in Phoenix. One was in Anthem.
Yup, they are roadrunners. The name came to me, and then I figured out the pattern.
Have a super weekend Cindy, and stay cool. 🙂
Interesting texture look on the background Sheila. I like the concept of this but feel that the moon should have continued under the bird which would have made the whole bird stand out better. Good luck with this vote.
Maybe that would have been better Val. 🙂 Thanks so much for taking the time!
It already has a lot of favorites, hopefully they are votes as well.
Happy creating Val! 🙂
Sheila, thanks for including a close-up of Midnight Runner’s background: it has a strong organic flow and unevenness that appeals highly to my eye. The sharp edges of your figures make for perfect contrast agains the background. Brava!
Thank you Dotty 🙂 I think the background is the best part, LOL. I tried a pattern on the bird as well, but I like the clean contrast better. Happy creating my friend 🙂
