Misty Horizon was published in Uppercase Magazine. The acceptance letter arrived over a month ago. I’m so excited to finally be sharing this great news with you.
Here is what I had to say about creating abstract art. I had just come home from the hospital, and I was so worried that I would sound like a dork. Haha. I was very grateful to be home in time to meet the deadline.
I submitted five pieces. The others were acrylics. I had no idea which had been accepted, until my copy of the magazine arrived today. How exciting!
The magazine is available at Joann craft stores. You can also get a sneak peak at the awesome abstracts in Janine’s flip through here. Inspirational! I’ve discovered new favorite artists!
Thanks so much for taking a look, whew that was a long one!

How wonderful! Congratulations Sheila and the article made lots of sense – lol. I found it interesting that I liked many of the abstracts better once I saw them on your Society 6 items, especially the backpacks and the mugs. Once again congrats!!!
Thank you Val. I know abstracts are not your usual go to. I feel that way too about some of them. LOL. 🙂
Enjoy your garden! 🙂
Pretty!
Thank you Lana. 🙂 Hope all is well in your neck of the woods 🙂
Your appearance—in art and words—in Uppercase Magazine #54 calls for an upper case response: WOW! CONGRATULATIONS! SO HAPPY FOR YOU!
Haha! So blessed to count you as a friend, Dotty!
