I am participating in World Watercolor Month, founded by Doodlewash and created by Charlie O’Shields. I am also working on repeat patterns for my Spoonflower shop, I’ll share more about that later. For WWM, I am keeping it simple. My theme is circles.
My thought is to create repeat patterns using some of the circles created this month. Below you will see some examples. Just a quick mock up with several background versions. It needs a bit more editing before it is Spoonflower shop ready.
Would you like to see more watercolor art? Check out #worldwatercolor, and #worldwatercolormonth on Instagram. You are welcome to join the fun, it’s never too late! Happy July to you! Thanks so much for following along. 🙂
It’s the circle of life, and it moves us all, through despair and hope, through faith and love, ’till we find our place, on the path unwinding. Elton John
We are all joined in a circle of stories. Linda Joy Myers.
Circles, like the soul, are never ending and turn round and round without a stop. Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Aww. Thanks so much Karin. I am so happy to see you are finding time to paint as well.
I have been thinking about your clothing building all afternoon. Wondering if they lived
upstairs. I’ve always thought it would be nice to have a small shop like that, and live above. 🙂
Happy creating to you Karin 🙂
Thanks so much Eva, so kind of you. I am so glad you enjoyed the watercolors.
Thanks so much for visiting the blog, and saying hello.
I can’t wait to see your work in September’s gathering! Happy creating Eva! Hugs 🙂
What a fun challenge, Sheila. Seemingly simple, a circle, but yet when limited by that form alone the imagination stretches endlessly. The third image is what I am most drawn to. It reminds me of the zen monks’ enso circles. xoxo.
I am having fun Laurelle. 🙂 That was my original inspiration. I wanted to take part, it’s been a while since I have done one. But this month is packed, so I needed to simplify. 🙂
Happy painting to you. Hope it has cooled down a bit. xoxox
Sheila! World Watercolor Month! Seeing your post just now is a huge gift, just the pick-me-up after a major cyber no-exit snafu of 75 minutes’ duration.
I’m particularly pulled to Day 1’s circle, and I delighted to know that your art will be coming my way regularly in the coming month. Hot damn!
Hahaha! Oh, Dotty! You crack me up! Thank you for that! Haha. 🙂
Yikes, a cyber snafu does not sound fun. I’m so glad it was resolved.
It be a bummer to miss your prolific and poetic posts!
I love that one as well. The color variations and the messiness.
So happy to hear you will be following along. 🙂
Looks like you’re having lots of fun!!! Makes me smile! 🙂

Csodállak! Egyszerűen lenyűgöz a sok szép egyedi alkotásod. Nagyszerű a hónapra elkészített esztétikus, dizájn jellegű akvarelljeid. Gratulálok!

An interesting subject to paint for a month – good luck. I like pattern #3 best.
Thank you Val for sharing that. Good to know. 🙂 It is one of my favorites too. 🙂
