My continuing fascination with color. Above is the untouched original. Below I increased the vibrancy in Photoshop and flipped the image. I like the stronger colors, but it feels slightly top-heavy to me.
I never would have guessed, how much I enjoy this color. Yellow ochre. I live with it daily. The huge canvas hanging, that is still waiting to become a painting. The small side table that needs more layers to become a pretty “wood” finish. The duvet. It’s warm. Soothing.

I’d like this about 70” x 50” so I could just walk into it and put my toes in that warm ocean. Sigh!
Haha 🙂 Ahhhh! Love that Sea 🙂
Lovely Sheila!
Thank you Dave 🙂
It is amazing how different people see colour. You see the yellow ochre as warm and soothing where I see it as dull and boring. I think I still have the first tube I ever bought and it is almost full – lol
Hahaha, very true Val. Oh, I hated it when I first worked with it. Really. I did not paint with it for a long time. Then I did watercolors with it. I liked it a little bit. Haha. Maybe it is an acquired taste, and only for some. LOL 🙂 Like chicken livers. I will never acquire that taste 🙂 hahaha!
Wow. This is lovely. Like it both ways. Ingenious.
Thanks Christine! 🙂
the magic of minimalism : )
LOL, thank you Dotty 🙂
