Interesting pieces Sheila. I have never tried Yupo this way – might be fun. I think the top painting works as it is but the bottom one needs something. I assume these are just backgrounds and I look forward to seeing if you do anything with them. Happy Valentine’s Day to you too,
I don’t think Yupo is meant to be used this way Val. Haha 🙂 Truth be told, I tried something new, and botched it completely. And I knew that acrylic would cover it up. Haha 🙂 These are practice. And I agree about the 2nd one. Something. I will live with them awhile and see if it comes to me. 🙂 LOL, Fingers crossed.
Dotty, those lines are pure accident. I didn’t notice them until after the paint dried. Or I might have smoothed them out. LOL 🙂 That is where the palette knife skipped over dried paint from the previous layers. When I saw them I knew they would be the focal point. They are what made this a keeper for me. 🙂 More cacti on the way… 🙂

the vertical lines bottom right in day 13, the band of salmon peeking through the horizon in day 14. the surprise of no cacti!
