Everything in this is too even Steven. The sky is pretty even. The stems are pretty even. And the blooms. They are definitely even.
I think I will go back and add two or three smaller blooms, lower than the others. I played with this idea in Photoshop. Much better. What do you think?
The “yellow” that shows in the stems is actually green gold. It is almost neon at it’s lightest. In person it does appear very light green, not the yellow seen here. I have Winsor & Newton, the video shows Daniel Smith. I’d like to try that one next as it appears to be less neon bright.
I used watercolor crayon over the stems/grass area. Splattered paint, of course. I drew on the blooms with a watercolor crayon. Didn’t quite work as well as I thought it would. I went over those marks with a wet brush to move the paint around. Here is a close up to show some of the fun details.
Flowers, flowers everywhere. Enjoying seeing each day
So glad to have you here Nelvia 🙂 Glad you enjoy them 🙂
I do like the way you keep trying different things to get the effect you want Sheila. I think the sky and the grasses are just right but the add of the extra flowers is a good idea.
Thank you Val for the vote of confidence 😉
So cheerful and fresh.
Thank you Lana 🙂
A lovely scene…I agree that the addition of a few smaller flowers offsets the pretty much equal size of the rest. How about a few really tall ones maybe to break up the sky?
Ah HA! Good idea Laurelle 😉
Sheila, thanks for all the process and self-analysis details. Love all the art talk, love seeing how you fiddle with photoshop. Perfect way to start my day!
Happy creative day to you Dotty 🙂
