I’ll share more of these tomorrow. I’ve finished this batch, and I’m in the mood to do some abstracts. Some collage maybe.
The storm came as promised. Roads were closed, and offices shut down. Here at home, it was a gentle snow. I think it snowed for a day and a half. Big fluffy flakes. The next two photos are early in.
When the sun came up yesterday, Mingus was hiding in the mist.
It reappeared later.
They plowed our road today. But the cold means our view will remain white for a few more days at least. I’m going to enjoy every minute.
I always have trouble with shadows. Getting the right colour for time of day seems counter intuitive to me. I love the way your images clearly show the blues and purples in the shadows. Gives me an idea for a post on my blog while the snow is around.
Wow! It looks like you had a lot more snow than you are used to, Sheila. It is lovely when it is fresh and the sun shines – great pics. I really like the first painting here with the blue background; such great texture. Good work Sheila.
Ha ha. I saw an old movie today, that had the man with the voice of Elmer Fudd. He looked like the character, and that voice was unmistakable. 😉 I am out of gesso, so I’ll be making a trip to Michaels soon 😉
What pretty pics, and I am enjoying vicariously. Looks like our rain is finally going to go away for a couple of days at least, almost 10″ just for Feb, on top of 8″ in January. Wow, we are really floating. Only pretty if you don’t have to drive in it I know. But, I am sure like us once it starts to go it will go quite fast. Glad you are staying put, more to you later.
The best way right Nelvia. Haha 🙂 WOW, that is a lot of rain! I am glad I did not have to go out in it. Everything will get nice and green here for a while. Good for all the hungry garanimals 😉 I might get out for a drive tomorrow. We’ll see.
Love the cactus paintings! And their colors are a sunny contrast to the gorgeous, white snowy days.
Thank you Juana. So pretty while it lasted 🙂
What fabulous photos. So surreal!
Glad you enjoyed them Carol 🙂

Sounds interesting Sea. Glad you enjoyed them 🙂 Just hints of snow left now. 🙁 LOL.

Nothing like what you get I am sure Val. It is lovely when it is fresh and untouched. 🙂 Thanks Val 😉
Wascally Wabbit!!! I can hear Elmer Fudd now!
Your snow photos are spectacular, Sheila. I especially love Mingus with mist in the lowlands.
The textured ‘unevennesses’ you get with watercolor and gesso delight my eye.

Lots of lovely imagery for creativity Sheila, enjoy!
There you go! Thanks Jacinta 😉
