Here are more of the gesso prepped postcards. I received a newsletter from the Desert Botanical gardens in Phoenix, and it put me in the mood to paint cacti. Warm thoughts on a chilly day. Mingus saw rain a few times. We had minuscule hail for about two minutes. :o/ Fingers crossed for rain showers tomorrow.
What fun you are having Sheila – enjoy!
Thank you Val;) Hope your roof is surviving the snow ;o/
Those are cool! Are you going to print copies or are they one offs?
I need some postcards for my send outs next month. Some of these might make the cut Dave 😉
The variability/unpredictability of watercolor on a free-form gesso base gives an organic feel and is very appealing to my eye. Also very appealing to my eye is the ‘tipping over’ orientation in the texture detail. Go, Sheila!
Ha ha, when I did that, it reminded me of that cactus that looked like a carrot, I painted for one of the challenges. Very appealing to me as well Dotty, the unpredictability 🙂 Happy creating my friend 🙂
Gorgeous cacti textures Sheila
Thanks Jacinta 🙂 I think I am out of gesso. I’ll have to dig tomorrow. I want to do more using gesso as a base It’s fun watching the textures pop 😉 Enjoy!
