This range is part of Mingus. Just south. You can see this from just about everywhere in town. I just love the crags and crevices. Are they crags in America? Or is that a British thing? OK, too many period pieces for me. OK, confession time. I painted this backwards. Traced it backwards on the paper. What? How? Ha ha ha! It was late, and I was NOT going to start over. Didn’t see it until the ink was dry.
I was in the mood for pen apparently. A style I would like to be better at. There are many styles I would like to be better at. Ha ha ha. Here is number four. And oh, yeah. More yellow flowers. I was trying to recreate flowers I did on this postcard. Well, trying to create them better. HA! That will teach me.
There are other subjects I would like to paint for #WorldWatercolorMonth. Maybe I will do flowers for a week, and then switch. Maybe.
Have an awesome 4th everyone!!!

Such bright and cheerful paintings, Sheila! Your pen work addition is lovely and your flowers make me want to dance like it’s Spring again. Hugs
Dancing is good Trang 🙂 So glad you enjoyed them both, I had fun with them. Happy Texas 4th!
I love the way you added the ink and shadows so beautiful!!
Hi Lana, thanks! So glad you like it 🙂
Crooks and crannies… lovely line-work! Lovely yellows!
Ha ha ha, OK 😉 Thank you Carol 🙂
I like the addition of pen in your Mingus painting and the shadows on the mountain are great. Had to chuckle about you painting it backwards – we wouldn’t have know without you telling us! Sheila, if yellow and flowers make you happy paint them for the rest of the month – they make me happy too!
I know. Thought about not telling you, but I thought it was funny. Just thought of it, I could have easily reversed it digitally…see, told you it was late. Brain was fried.
They are making me happy, and it is so nice to hear you like them too Val, LOL 🙂
