When I finished last night, I thought these were a hot mess. Today, well they are not good. But they are done. I was having more fun with the skies. But even they did not turn out as nice as I’d hoped. Still, these are all fixable. Workable. I will be revisiting the 100 when the “days” are through, and reworking them as needed.
Chandra Lynn has nominated me for the Three Quotes in Three Days challenge. She is also sending me one of her gorgeous postcards, so what can I say but, OH YEAH!
The rules are simple:
- Thank the person who nominates you
- Post one quote per day for 3 consecutive days
- Nominate three new bloggers each day
Thank you Chandra! Thanks so much for resharing the post on fierce women. Thank you for the postcard on the way, and thank you for thinking of me for three quotes!
I nominate:
Sea Dean of Paint A Masterpiece
Laurelle Cidoncha of Muditaart
Sandy Sandy of Sandy Sandy Fine Art
True silence is the rest of the mind,
and is to the spirit what sleep is to the body,
nourishment and refreshment.

Get those negative thought out! Wonderful work! Love #70. You should be thinking of an exhibition with them all!
Be gone bad thoughts!! Carole said so 😉
Thank you my friend.
Just the hurry-to-catch-up part, making me feel like I am not giving enough time or attention.
From your lips to God’s ears 😉
I think the most successful one is the last.
As I’m taking time away from my blog I have to pass on the quote challenge. Thanks for thinking of me though.
You came to mind immediately, your vast knowledge of art history. 😉 Hope you are enjoying your time “away” Sea!
Thank you for the nomination. You know I love quotes! Penn’s thought on silence is beautiful and profound. I love the different skies. I think watercolor is the perfect medium for wonderous clouds. Oil paint just doesn’t seem to be able to capture their lightness and movement, or at least I have not yet mastered the technique.
Most welcome my friend, and yes, that is why I thought of you!
LOL, I am not sure I have mastered the technique with watercolor Laurelle! LOL 😉 I have seen wondrous clouds in oils, acrylics, and watercolor. Mind blowing. And I just stare in wonder, amazed at how the artists has done it.
I suppose that is why I will keep trying, again and again 😉
When you start playing with watercolor, I can share links to some good videos on clouds and more… 😉
I really like these paintings. I can see that you had fun making them – it shows. I like the blooms in the pink of the 3rd piece and the colours of the 4th are just super. Good work Sheila
It will be interesting to read all the quotes that are floating around – thanks for sharing.
Thank you Val, so glad you are enjoying them 🙂
