I will have to check out that Pinterest collection! Do you have the link? Love the textures in #57. Mainly the foreground mountains! Your different views never cease to amaze me!

I think the last card I received from you was your wonderful colorful chair. But I could be forgetting, and it could have been misplaced when the hoopla started. Was it for LYA?

Not for LYA. What I sent is up on my blog now. You’ll know why I sent it. Also, I nominated you for a 3 quotes in 3 days challenge. Rules in my latest post. Hugs!

It must feel good to be back in your sanctuary and in a routine again. Of these three I am drawn most to the third one, the intensity of the color (what a surprise, huh?, from me) and I love how the water sort of explodes to make natural looking clouds. I’m curious why you’re using this particular size paper. Do you want the 100 to be the same size? It might be a different challenge compositionally to mix up the paper sizes. Also, do you every use frisket? Also, what brand of watercolor do you like to use? I ask because I am thinking this summer I might try watercolor again.

Well, we can have a whole discussion on watercolor Laurelle. Maybe better for email, more room to write, LOL.
I like the third as well, and for the same reason. I had fun with the skies. I did not even really need to “work” on them, lots of happy accidents there.
These were cut from am 8 x 10 sheet. I have done many of these in the same format, but in a larger size. The large ones are cut from a 12 x 16 sheet of paper. I have done probably 6 or seven different sizes so far.
I haven’t used frisket a lot. I have some. I just forget to use it.
I use Winsor and Newton, and several others. I will include that in my next Post 🙂
Yup, great to be home 🙂

LOL, thanks Val. I had fun with these. They were the last sheet of Fabriano. I keep thinking I do not like that paper as much as Arches, but I do like how these turned out. So I guess I need to rethink my thinking. LOL 🙂
