Forgot I had this to post. Or maybe I wanted to forget it. Ha. Not one of my favorites. I am still in catch up/get ahead mode. And on this, you can easily see it is affecting my work.

The sky saved it. Not great, but interesting. I tried to include a treeline. NOT my best attempt. You can see I even tried to cover the offensive area with some pastel. DOPE! Going for a little touch of abstract there, did not work. Ha ha ha.

Big Blue is interesting, and the front range, not so bad. I like the mix of colors on this one. Might be a tad too girly, but I had fun with it.

Thinking that I had nothing to post, I rushed late night to paint. All I could manage time wise was two tiny ATC’s. I intended to go back and “fix these”. But that didn’t happen. So here are two, wonky Mingi.

Mingus is poorly shaped, and I would have added pen or paint to shape the front range.

I tried to do clouds, but it wasn’t working. Maybe I can wet it, and lift some color. Hmm.

Thanks for taking a look!

I often paint the same scene of the valley but I think I would get bored painting it everyday. Your sticking power is awesome Sheila and every painting is different – good for you!

I am itching to paint some flowers Val. LOL 🙂 Katie (Jeanne Wood) is closing in on a year of daily painting, thought not of the same subject. I am in awe of THAT, her!!!!! Thanks for sticking with me Val 🙂

Sheila, go to Photoshop or whatever editing tool you use, transport the sky from #83 to either #84 or #85, and call it #86. Done!

I so appreciate seeing all your Mingus iterations—all part of your embodied painting experience.

Ha ha ha! Love that Dotty! There you go, thinking like a designer! That would be fun actually, and I could flip it horizontally so it would be on the opposite side. LOL. Happy creating to you Dotty 🙂

I like the addition of the green. It brings hope of the rains and what will come.. You are too hard on yourself. You do beautiful work. I love that you stick to a subject.
You need to pat yourself on your back, at least you are doing them…

I mixed the naples yellow with, … well I think Cerulean. I’ll check when I get home. Oh it made a lovely, soft, warm green. I used it on another painting. There was enough left that I thought I would use it here.
In about two weeks I will paint a different subject. LOL. I am surprised that boredom has not kicked in. LOL. I still have a long list of ideas I would like to try 😉
