Mingus Day #40. 5 x 7 in. Watercolor on Arches 140 lb. cold pressed paper. © 2018 Sheila Delgado.
Mingus number forty. This was difficult to scan, and the light blue in the sky is not true to life. Tempted to go back in and add a wash. If I do I will share it with you.
A sign of Spring, this yucca is getting ready to bloom.

Spring in the valley.
Love this one!!!
Thank you Karin 🙂
Every machine sees color differently! Advice, move on. Once you try to fuss you loose the freshness! Love it just the way it is!
And that is one thing I so want to learn… stay loose and not fuss. Thanks Carol 🙂
I love this one. The sky is perfect and it works with Day#1, Day#4, Day#7, Day#9, Day#10, Day#15 and Day#33 to make the start of a calendar.
LOL, giving me ideas again Sea. 🙂 Made me look 😉
I love your wet on wet sky, Sheila! It’s perfect and so beautiful! The gap in between is dreamy!!! Happy Spring and I hope everything blooms gloriously for you???. Hugs ?
Thank you Trang 🙂 Happy Spring to you my glorious friend 🙂 xoxox
the folds in the back range, the scribbly horizontal bit in the foreground : )
🙂
The starkness of the background mountain really enhances the foreground soft desert. I find the line work in pencil very intriguing in this composition. The idea of rendering the same subject for such a long period is quite challenging, yet I can see the benefit. It forces the artist to really look anew every day. It’s awesome, Sheila!
Thank you for that Laurelle 🙂 I have been leaving the pencil on some, and on others I go over it with paint. I am almost to the halfway point. And I am not feeling bored or stagnant yet. I think the falling behind has something to do with that. And I have not explored as much as I would like. But that is due to factors out of my control. There is still time to experiment. 😉
Another different view of your favorite mountain scene – very nice Sheila. I hope you can get a close-up of the flowers once they bloom.
Will do Val 😉
Beautiful
Happy for you
Enjoy
Thank you Christine, happy week to you 🙂
