Texture sheet (dots), plastic wrap, white paint pen, half moons, sea sponge application of turquoise and Kiwi, smeared thinned Lt. ivory, splatters. Ivory vase, wine /Lt. Ivory mix to contrast vase. (Yes, I know. Mauve. But mauve is so 80’s,  hate to say it. )  Like how the color dries, decide to use  it for the blooms. (Oh MY God.) Blooms: Layer of thin Ivory, layer of mauve quickly pulled of with paper towel. Wet centers, apply paint, hoping it will spread like day 24. It didn’t. Indigo watercolor to define.

Well you know what they say, styles come back around, and I think colors do too. LOL 😉 So glad you like them Christine 😉

I am drawn to the flower shapes – love the centres and all the gorgeous textures and mark making you have added. The colour is gorgeous – maybe I’m dating myself but love the ‘mauvey’ colour.

maybe you are, but that’s OK Janet, LOL 😉 I am really liking it to. I was trying for more of that in day 26, but didn’t quite get it. I am trying to remember my process. The texture on the flowers is from paper towel. I put on the paint, but the first was too dark. So I quickly patted it with paper towel. I really liked the texture it made, so I repeated it with the others. 🙂

I love the interesting texture of the blooms that you achieved. The merlotey (could replace “mauve”) color that is left is awesome. I think the splatters across the vase push it back into the background a bit. The flowers’ centers really make the blooms sing!

I like the mauve too Val. I had that color in my apartment when I was in college. But then it was called dusty rose. LOL 🙂

A symphony of pinks and light peach colors. The composition is so strong Love the bits of turquoise showing. Can’t wait to see them all together. Seems this challenge you have let yourself bloom! Pun intended!

LOL, thank you Carol. So kind of you to think so 🙂 I love how the colors turned out as well. The layering softened them. 🙂

Especially drawn to the flight of the bumblebee as traced by what I assume is the white paint pen you mention; the composition, with bleeds off three edges; the splatter.
