Wait, what? Only nine days left? Whoa! That went by fast! Felt like doing an Aloe plant. I love succulents and cacti. They are so sculptural, even exotic. Had fun with day twenty-one!
Today is drawing day for the third giveaway. I will put the numbers 1 – 7 into a dish, and choose one at random. From that day, I will choose one comment, by also putting numbers (one for each comment) into a dish. Stay tuned tomorrow for the lucky draw!
More great art at Leslie’s 30 In 30 Blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by,
your visits are the BEST thing about the challenge!
Your aloe vera has marvelous energy. This is definitely not a static composition. The plant’s arms are almost dancing.
Love that Laurelle 😉 I goofed on one, but left it alone. There is often one “leaf” that does not conform. hahaha! Have fun today 🙂
I like the texture in this piece Sheila especially in the pot – it seems perfect for an aloe plant.
I had a tough time deciding where to place the pot. Lots of fun textures to choose from. I have seen big modern pots like this in California. Cool pots everywhere out there 😉 I prefer rounded, so I thought this would change it up a bit 😉
This is beautiful – You’ve given my eye so much to look at! The variety of greens, the textured, gessoed background. So subtle yet so strong!
I am thrilled with your appraisal Janet. YOU have been the inspiration for these lates pieces. Your soft textures, and depth. Layer after layer of interest and color. So excited to know I may be learning after all 🙂 Thanks for your consistent inspiration Janet 🙂
I love your aloe plant, Sheila! I am always wondering how you get such different textures in so many different areas. And now I OWN a Sheila Delgado work of art! Yesterday in the mail after a long day (sigh) of holding and cuddling 2 newborns, I came home to yet another “package of joy”. Thank you so much
for “Promise” and your wonderful card. I feel so lucky!
You are so kind Laurie, and so very welcome 😉 So glad to know I could relieve your weariness, after what must have been a truly torturous day. Holding newborns…. LOL hahaha 🙂 So glad you enjoyed the Aloe too 🙂
Rest up so you can enjoy those beautiful babies!! 😉
Sheila, stunning! This piece has such punch—muffled punch, if that even makes sense. It just assertively stands tall and makes itself known without fanfare. The composition has both balance and asymmetry, and there are wondrous subtleties to explore with what I think is collage.
Yup, some collaged tissue, sewing pattern and the lettered paper. And some with paint. Muffled punch, Love that Dotty 🙂 hahaha
Thank you for your generous critique my friend 🙂
Love the colors and texture Sheila. I agree there is something alluring about succulents and you captured this one well.
Love that Sharon.. alluring 😉 So glad you enjoyed it 🙂
