Day one is done. And so is my Liberate Your Art postcard swap envelope. Two birds, one stone. Layers on layers here. At the end, I took a nail file and sanded off some of the top soil.

Ready for day two!

Don’t forget to say hello, and follow me on Instagram!

I am always sort of sorry when I see the amazing envelopes that Kat receives. LOL 😉 They are always so original and I always do a painting. WOW, you are on it Christine! I ordered my cards. Sale was pretty good. So now I will be watching for the mail lady!

This is lovely Sheila. Love that monochromatic palette with the touches of blue and yellow. I find the colour quite compelling!! Great line work as well. What a great start to the 30in30. And I especially like how your are ‘multitasking’!

Isn’t that fun! And, doing your envelope – what a great idea! You early birds put me to shame so I guess I had better get busy. Looking forward to seeing more of your work during the month, Sheila.

LOL, I am put to shame as well Val, right there with you 😉 I usually would not think of it until closer to the deadline. But seeing everyone else so at the ready, prompted me to start. Someone started the decorated envelope a few years ago. I like to do it as sort of a gift for Kat and all her hard work.

The layers, the delicate (ink?) linework, the pops of dusty blue and bright white, the quiet space, the putty colors—I’m really liking this kickoff to the 30 in 30, Sheila!

Thanks Carol! I lost count of how many layers there are. I scratched, and scraped, and splattered. That was fun 😉

This is stunning, Sheila! What a beautiful, subdued palette you used. It caresses you. The different flowers and the pop of blue among them is perfect. What a way to start the month!

So glad you like it Laurelle. I was feeling like it was entirely TOO subdued. Painted it last night, but I like it much better this morning 😉 Thanks for
