These nooks and crannies are calling. Paint me, paint me. I made a start, but not sure yet if it will be hills or abstract.
Horribly blurry, but I like the painterly effect. To my eyes, at least. I am sure some of my photographer friends will cringe.
I was beginning to give up hope on my last heART swap postcard arriving, but it did. All the way from Deniliquin Australia! This is cloth and ribbons. Sonya’s message is on two tags that are attached.
I just love the bright cheerful fabrics! The shiny black ribbon. And the gift tag greetings.
Thank you Sonya for sharing your lovely work with me! Such a lovely surprise.
I had a little visit to your area via online images. Lovely historic buildings!
I’d say we both live where the views are dramatic.
So, wait..is the first image a photo or a painting? I was thinking it was a painting, but then I read your comment about it being blurry. I suppose it could still be an image of a painting. Or is it an image of an image? I’m sooooo confused. lol
Sonya’s fabric art is really cool. So happy it reached you.
I think my writing skills are failing me lately Katie. Clarity of thought is not showing. LOL. It is a blurry photo of the hills from far away, taken with my phone. I liked it, even so. Thought others might as well. I just really love the shapes created by sunlight and shadows. Happy five minutes to you 😉
Ahh! Thanks for ‘splaining. 🙂 Even now, knowing it’s a photo, I still think it looks like a painting..very cool view you have there. Can’t wait to see your paint version of it.
LOL, maybe I should sell my blurry photos as paintings? Kidding. Glad you like it either way Katie 🙂 I have taken photos from there before, and they came out clear, so I am not sure why this was so blurry. Maybe my hands were cold. Or maybe I was sitting in the car at the time. Hmmm…
Mountains and light – a great combination for art inspiration. And, what a fun postcard! Have a great day Sheila.
Thank you Val, Hope you have a super weekend!
Sheila, am I looking at a photograph or a painting? Either way, I love the effect—the softnesses of line, the muted colors. Stunning.
The hills are a log distance phone photo. LOL. I really like the softness too Dotty. Reminds me of terrible old paintings of the old west (or postcards) that are living in my subconscious somewhere. LOL
