New sheet of paper, and paint in my palette. Couldn’t decide between brush or knife. So I  went with my fingers. I knew I would get a completely different look.

I didn’t mean to be so stripey. So I will be doing this again. Another fresh start! You may not remember, But I created a background like this for a Scripture gift for friends. More what I had in mind. I used my fingers for that as well.

And it took two attempts to get it right.

Looking forward to more painting fun! Hope you are enjoying creative time, or maybe just relaxing time!

I like your ‘Fresh Start’. It reminds me of the wetlands after the first snow of the season with its touches of white, green and brown. I have never tried painting with just my fingers although I have used them for minor touches. Maybe I will someday – lol.

Sheila, Fresh Start feels like just that: a fresh start to a new day. Very appealing. I am struck by how such a ‘simple’ piece with so few ‘details’ can say SHEILA! to me : ) I could no doubt conjure up some similar colors, use my fingers, and maybe conjure up something derivative, but I suspect my rendering would say Dotty. Fascinates me. Makes me think about the paints we choose or happen to have on hand, and what it is about creating that makes each piece unique to its creator. Thank you for this gift of your visual art, of your signature, of sending me into happy musing.

Dotty, can you really see all that in so little? Thank YOU Dotty, for sharing some of you happy musings with me. It would be fascinating, to follow an artist, an idea, from the moment it is born until it is seen as a finished piece. I don’t think we are even aware, of all the hows, or whys.
Makes me happy Dotty, if I can in any way return the gifts of your friendship, and your art. 🙂
