Up late painting. And yes, there was thunder at midnight.
My tools included a brush, a credit card, a paint comb, and a stencil.
I thought about making this a landscape after the second layers were added.
I could see a hint of hills along the horizon.

The leaves and stem with their shading, the soft dots, as to not “steal” the spotlight, the tilted vase. Gives it such personality. And of course that tulip against the glowing background. Wonderful!
Aww, thanks Laurie 🙂 I always lean towards the rustic, shows it’s age type. Old things that have lived a life. I had the idea to do a bold, bright vase, but you can see what won out. Have a joyful and creative day my friend 🙂
