Caught my second wind at 11:30 pm. Truth be told it was my first wind. Pulled out the left over paints I have on dishes, and in bowls. I have missed my “colors”. Thought about doing bouquets, but hey, it was almost midnight. So a single bloom on a deep background won out.
Happy little accident in card one. Do you see it? Indigo ran amuck.
Feel so much better now that I painted. Caught up on some “work” reading today. Found some glitches I had to fix in my Society6 shop. Still some to address. Amazing how long the “little” things can take! The server will be down for a few hours tonight. The internet company is upgrading or some such. So my apologies in advance if you had a hard time reaching this site.
I found that I had not posted these photos of our last snow. About two weeks ago now. Maybe three. I love how you can see the mounds of earth that formed eons ago. Those are not always visible. Both of these were taken on the same day, within a 20 minute time span.
More catching up, I finished this project last week. I have been working on a design assignment, and fell behind on posting. Take a look at my new “Inspiration board”. There will be a larger board on the wall next to this.
Remember those cork trivets? Hung them with Command strips.
It’s here!! The LYA swap begins soon! Kat posted more envelope art. Really cool, what everyone has been up to. Click the image to visit Kat’s site. Next week art will arrive!

Yes, little things take forever, and before you know it, it’s sucked up an entire day. Ugh.
Holy cow, that snow on the mountains, tho..I wouldn’t get much done if I had that to look at every day. I’d just be gazing off into the distance, daydreaming all the time. haha! I’m quite jealous of that view of yours, but I’m so grateful you share it with us.
You are so right. Amazing just how short a day can be, LOL. I was late in sharing those photos… maybe I was daydreaming that day. 😉 I am grateful you enjoy the view, I sometimes wonder if I’m turning into an old bore. LOL (Don’t answer, hahaha) (I am jealous of how prolific you are!) Inspiring!
Super little paintings Sheila – isn’t it great how painting can lift our spirits?. The inspiration board is a great idea and your photos of the snow are great too. I am looking forward to getting some postcards in the mail from the LYA swap because the envelopes have been amazing. Have a great day.
Happy weekend to you Val 🙂 It is amazing, and wetting my brushes did lift my spirit 🙂 I can’t wait for the swap to start either. I am so glad we are able to see everyone’s art on the Facebook page. I hope I get to find out where all of mine land this year.
So glad you got some paint down on paper! And I love that happy accident. What a good idea you had, using cork trivets! If I can find a good place to put some, I’m going to try it. My hubby puts so many things on the walls though… you are up there several times (and I love them!).
Thanks Kat, I am so glad you both enjoy my artwork 🙂 The Command strips are made for different weights, and they are so easy to use. I think it would be fun in a kids room, for their ever changing art displays. I found the idea somewhere, must have been on Pinterest. DID you see your tangle up there. Some of the others you have sent me are waiting to be framed.
I wondered if that was my tangled work!! Yay! I made the inspiration board! I couldn’t tell if it was Zentangle or not so I’m glad you told me! ?
I want to put your squares into frames, but until then, there you are 🙂 Enjoy your day, say hello to Bear for me. Thinking of you both 🙂
Yay! A new Sheila post! Love seeing your colors on ten-minute postcards, love knowing you felt so much better having painted them. Thanks for the update on the cork trivets—great idea! And now you’ve got an inspiration board. Awesome!
LOL, Thanks Dotty 🙂 Art from friends is ALWAYS an inspiration 🙂
