Whew! Way behind, and it is only day one. I started a weeks worth of paintings, hoping to begin ahead. Yes, you’re right. Way too ambitious. Stayed up late working, and still. Had nothing.
I had a plan. A theme. Well guess what. All shot to, heck.
So, going with the flow. And hoping very much that there will be a flow. If not a gusher, at least a slow, steady trickle. Yes. I would be very content with a trickle.
Sun setting on 2016, and it was glorious. I watched the light travel along the ridge from the south.
Soon it caught hold of Mingus.
Annoyed with my work, I looked up again.
I said out loud, “The mountain is touching the sky!”
Glorious!
Updated my gallery , added some new pages. Still a work in progress. Take a look, and let me know what you think. Hover over the link at the top of the page, and the page options will drop-down.
Leslie Saeta 30 Paintings In 30 Days Day One – Take a look!
I am at #232 today.
Wow! That is glorious!!! I thought of God appearing to Moses on the mountain. What a blessing to see this and paint that glorious moment in time. 🙂
Thank you Karin. I literally went running to make sure everyone caught a glimpse. Our new hobby is watching both views, LOL. Love your thought!
Wonderful!!! What a wonderful gift these mountains give you each day. Great start for the challenge. Yes, go with the flow… numbers whose counting!!!!
LOL, so glad you enjoy them as well Carol. 🙂
Happy New Year Sheila! Looking forward to seeing your paintings over the next 30 days. I like how you have interpreted your photo. Some lovely lights and darks. And that sky where the mountain touches! I’d say you’re off to a good start.
Thanks so much Janet, I appreciate it 🙂
That last photo of the mountain touching the sky is fabulous and your rendering is not bad either in spite of your feelings. Good for you for sticking it out when things were going wrong. Tomorrow will be a better day.
Can’t get any worse, right Val. LOL Oh boy, sure don’t want to find out, ha ha ha
Looking forward to seeing what you, and the others are up to 🙂 But I have to eat my broccoli before I can have dessert! (Love broccoli)
Sheila, what a gift to witness the mountain’s touching the sky—and what a gift to be able to capture it in paint! Better than Times Square, says I.
I’ll be right there with you, going with the flow. Planning ahead? Don’t think it’s gonna happen. I have a loose idea of how I want to approach the 30 days but I know full well what happens to the best laid or even loose plans. So, I’ll just hop on and ride whatever comes along.
I clicked on the link at the right for Gallery, got to a page whose heading was Gallery, but … nothing there. Not sure if I landed where I was meant to or not, but I wanted you to know.
Interesting…. it is not to the right, It is at the top of the page. If you hover over “Gallery” the options will drop down. But now I am very curious what gallery you clicked on. To the right? More details please… I am not seeing it, but I will look from a different computer.
Glad beyond words that you are boarding the 30 in 30 train!!! I will be up late visiting and viewing blogs. But right now… I have to begin piece number 2. LOL
I agree Dotty, better than freezing my tookus off in a throng of noisy strangers!! Introverts nightmare!!! LOL
