Struggled with these abstracts in the beginning. In fact I posted a couple of them. They were not feeling right to me. So I painted over them with a warm sand color. That made all the difference.
The next session went more smoothly. I had five pieces that I was happy with. Only minor tweaks and adjustments needed, if any. This was the first one I completed, and I was happy with it. I still feel it is one of the best. The success of this canvas helped me work through the problem solving on the others. I actually put my hands in the air and did a little happy dance.

Thanks for visiting Jan 🙂 I have really enjoyed seeing your work this month. One of my favorite things, learning 🙂 Glad you had fun with that this month as well!
Congrats to you, Sheila! And thank you for all your generous support of so many people. This is awesome! I love the values here- keeps the eye going and going , never to exit the piece!
Aww, Thank YOU Laurie! enjoy your creative time today, your work brings joy to so many 🙂
This is my favourite too! Wonderful lights and darks. The green draws my eye around the canvas and then back in. Just the right amount of everything Sheila. Your’s is the first email I opened this morning – you put a smile on face – love the video – glad you celebrated your success and shared – is good for us all to hear about and celebrate with you. Have a wonderful day 🙂

This piece is fascinating Sheila. I see so many images in it , I could study it for ages. I am glad you are happy with these – a great learning experience for you. One more day then we can rest for a bit.
Thank you Val, so nice to hear 🙂 This was a very good month for me, and for you as well! I am in awe of the amazing art Leslie facilitated! A rest does sound good doesn’t it. But more from the blogging than the painting.
Happy dance painting, YAY!!
LOL, Bet you do that all the time in your classes Sandy 🙂
Sheila, what an awesome 29 (and counting) days you’ve had. Your explorations in abstract have a lot of impact. When I look at Dreaming of Sand and Chili, I can feel paint and palette knife in hand. Sweet!
Thank you Dotty, so kind of you. You have inspired so many this month with your bold cutting and painting over. You remind us to be fearless and try anything!
Your abstracts amaze me, especially since they are so small. Love the touch of green!
One more day to go.
Aww thanks Carol. I like the green bits too 🙂 Yes, one more day. I am going to miss seeing everyone each day. :/
I’ll be checking in regardless. We have to keep up the momentum.
Yes! I brought a journal, pencils and my waterbrush. Hoping to have some time while I am here 🙂
