This is me getting back on the horse. Botched a small canvas in the last stages. Reached for the gesso to bury the scary spectacle. Found a sheet of paper and began again. This is from memory. I did not start with a drawing or reference photo.
Whew! Felt so much better after mixing some paint!
Though he may stumble, he will not fall,
for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
Psalm 37:24
A super sky Sheila! I like painting from memory too – I think it allows a bit of freedom of expression and artists need to do it more often. Have a great holiday season!
Thank you Val, I think I need to do it more often. 😉 Have a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed new Year 🙂
Love that you started fresh, from memory and heart. Love this emerging series of paintings paired with scripture. Love the stories behind the paintings. Love having our painting friendship!
So blessed Dotty to have your friendship! The scripture I added for you. 🙂 Love hearing from you always!

Lovely view…what a sky!!! Those mountains are so inviting!
Even a cloudless sky is gorgeous at sunset. Must be the clean mountain air 🙂
