Wide awake. 6 x 6 watercolor on Arches 140 lb. cold pressed paper. © 2016 Sheila Delgado
Not sure this is done. I did one like this before, and used pen to show the petals. So I may go back in and add some shapes. Or maybe some bits of blue sky. Contemplating. I love how the colors mingle, it was a lot of fun!
I am trying to get ahead on writing my posts for the week I am gone. Was so excited to have the paintings done, I forgot about the posts. Bye for now.
Wishing you a sunny Sunday!

How did I miss this! I love the painterly quality and wouldn’t touch it.
Ha ha, thanks Carol
Leaving it alone!
Another beauty. Like how you have filled the whole paper with part of the flower – beautiful colour too! Enjoy your time away!
Thank you Janet
I will
super colours Sheila and I like the looseness of the petals. Have fun while you are away and don’t stress the challenge – it is supposed to be fun!
You are right Val
I will!
I like it just the way it is. Nice fall palette.
Thank you Sea
Happy painting to you
“Wide Awake” speaks perfectly to the energy and radiance of this piece. The undefined petals appeal to me.
I hear ya about painting/drafting posts to allow for being away. I’ll be in place for all of 30in30 but NOT for all of the interactive online course I’m taking—not sure HOW that’s gonna pan out.
That is nice to hear Dotty.
I like it as is, glad to hear you do too. I wish you the best with your course. Your lessons seem long on homework, hope you can keep up
It has been so fun following along, thanks for sharing your progress with us!
Love how the colors flow into each other and the happy feeling I get when I look at this painting!
Awesome compliment, thank you Laurelle
Your sunny beach scenes do the same for me
Beautiful colors, lovely work!
So glad you like it Asha
