Happy is how I felt painting this. I managed to stay light handed, and not get lost in details. This was number three of four, and I was on a roll.
For all my success yesterday, the exact opposite was true today. I created four rather dull pieces. I will take a look again tomorrow and see if a creative crop, or more layers can save them.
Happy creating y’all!

Yes such a nice happy painting. Like Dotty I love the little white spaces around the blooms, they certainly help make the painting lighter in mood, airier. All in all this feels rather playful. 🙂
I like the white as well. When I painted, I don’t think I consciously left those areas. But they do act like little bits of “light” reflections. Playful is an awesome compliment Corinne 🙂
<3 It was meant that way. Your playfulness shines through.
Thank you Corinne 🙂 You know about playful!
Well of course you were happy – it has yellow flowers, your trademark – lol. I like the easy flow of it too and imagine your brush was dancing over the paper. Well done Sheila!
LOL, I love that thought of yours Val, dancing brush! I was actually standing when I painted this. Happy day to you!
It makes me happy to see this beautiful painting first thing this morning. Good job! 🙂
Thanks for that Karin 🙂 Hope you have a happy painting day 🙂
Thanks for spreading happy, Sheila! I love the little white spaces around the tallest blossoms, and I love that they are not blossoms at all but just happy color translated by my eyes : )
To happy color then Dotty! Have fun painting over and over today 🙂
Love, love, love! Loose and lovely…putting a touch bright color may save a muted painting. Let them rest for a couple of days!
So glad Carol, thank you 🙂 I will keep that in Mind 🙂 Have fun today!
