Cottontail Calling. 5 x 5 watercolor on 140 lb. Arches cold pressed paper. © 2016 Sheila Delgado
This new neighbor visits almost daily. He drinks from the drain pipe in the front yard. I keep trying to get a good shot of him from the side, when his puffy white tail is visible. But sadly, I am much too slow. Every time I see him, the song comes to mind. And I just can’t help but speak a couple of lines out loud.
Here comes Peter Cottontail

Funny bunny. Made me smile, Shelia. Really don’t have time to paint now, but I’ll check in once in a while to see what my arty friends are doing.

Thanks Corinne
He/she is adorable. Great form!!! Hope your not planning a vegetable garden!!!
No, we are not
Most homes around here have rock lawns, with trees and shrubs. He still manages to find something to chew
Again, loving the simplified forms. Very captivating and almost meditative. Also loving the textural elements and value gradations of the green background.
I am happy with my first try, so glad you like it as well
The photo was taken from a distance, and that simplified the details for me.
Sheila – this is so sweet. You are branching out!
I couldn’t resist trying to paint him Connie
