I was getting ready for our trip to Arizona. Cleaning off my desk, packing art supplies. Gathered small scraps of paper and pieces that had gone unused. But before the supplies climbed in my backpack, I had to play. Mostly just for the sake of playing. But also if I did not have time to paint on the trip, I would still have something to post. So it was play, but practical.
You know. Like when you really want to buy something you don’t need. But if you can think of a practical use for it, then it really isn’t just an impulse buy. I know at least a few of you know exactly what I’m talkin’ about. Uh Huh.
Here is another view of this. I painted it from the bottom up, but I think I like it in landscape better. I filled in that white spot in the center after the first scan. Didn’t even notice until I saw it on the screen.
Have a sunny one!
Yes. I know what you’re talking about. And I love the beautiful”Sheila” artwork!
LOL on both counts. Have a great weekend Laurie, and thanks a bunch 🙂
Have a great trip!!! I like the the landscape view best… always fun to play!!!
Hi Carol, I think in landscape, the petals are more visible. Hope you are having a great week Carol!
I love it both ways! And I love the yellows, so sunny.
Thanks Libby, so glad you like it. Hope your postcard arrived safely. If not, I can send another one 🙂
Gorgeous yellows Sheila! Have a fabulous holiday in Arizona. An amazing landscape from what I have seen in photos!
I will share some photos next week Wendy 🙂 So nice to hear from you 🙂
Have fun on your trip. I used to live north of Chino Valley, AZ.
WOW Lana, just right up the road from here!
Gorgeous!!! I love your sun-colored flowers!
Thank you Kat!
Sheila, I could so identify with packing up some small manageable art to take traveling as well as playing with paint ahead of time so as to have something to post while away. Been there done that … just last week, in fact! Thanks for sending us sunshine from CA/AZ!
You are welcome Dotty, and thanks for sharing your budding artists with us!
Bright and colourful as usual. I like either orientation. Have a safe and fun trip.
Thanks Val, so far it is going by fast 🙂
