And they’re off!
I don’t know who was the first to decorate their envelope for Kat, but now it is part of the fun we all look forward to. Kat shares them on her blog for us all to see.
I reused a padded envelope, and that helped create cracks on the vase when I applied crackle paint. The crackle also gave a shine to the vase, in contrast with the matte paint elsewhere.
Sunday is the last day to sign up for Kat Sloma’s 2016 Liberate Your Art postcard swap. The deadline to actually mail art to Kat is March 12. Join in!
Happy weekend ya’ll!

You express so well your creativity both on your postcards and enveloppe…
Looking forward seeing what the Swap brings this year!
It is such a simple thing… a postcard. But it is full of endless possibilities and interpretations. Always so much fun, waiting for mail art 🙂
I’m in a bind because I forgot to order my cards until it was almost too late. They are supposed to be here by Feb 25– on the 23rd (my birthday) would be sweet! I will send them by priority mail so I guess no decorating. Sigh. But YOURS is adorable!!
Whew Kat! So glad you will be getting your cards in time! Wouldn’t be as much fun without ya’!
Decorating envelopes is a fun idea, they all look fabulous! 🙂
It’s fun seeing them on Kat’s blog. So many cool ideas. Mine is pretty plain in comparison, but it does hint at what is inside.
The ideas just keep on coming. I love the envelopes, Sheila! You’re just a busy traveler!
Thank you Laurie, I see you are keeping busy in your neck of the woods 🙂
Is there a challenge, exchange, etc that you do not enter? The envelope is very cute – I wonder what the post office thinks of them?
Oh lots of them I am sure! Participating in LYA in 2011 was the first time I shared my art in public. Now it is a way to connect with friends from all over. The friends I have made by participating are blessings! Including you Val 🙂
It’s funny, but I don’t think they have ever mentioned what they think… at least not while I am there. LOL
Sheila, what fun to see your totally Sheila envelope! Love it. Will you be keeping us posted (pun acknowledged) as the postcard exchange takes place in coming weeks?
I will Dotty! I will share the cards I receive as well as where mine land. (If I find out)
