I learned how to get the pink to read better in Photoshop today. I was trying to “up” the pink. And what I needed to do was enhance the whites. I used the image adjustments selective color to do this. Man I love it when I learn something new!
There is a lot of texture in this background. Below is a detail shot for you. after painting the area, I splattered both colors as well as clean water on top. I really like how it turned out.
Yesterday I was asked to talk more about Mineral paper. I planned on sharing links with the posts I wrote previously. But after searching, I found that they were written at the end of September. My blog is missing September, as many of you know. Really a bummer, as I had also included links to several places mineral paper is available for purchase.
Corinna, give me one more day, and I will share some information with you.
Five minutes to spare before the midnight blast off!

This has such beautiful textures and wonderfully fresh colors. And just before midnight too!
Thank you Vanessa 🙂 I have been enjoying you work so much 🙂
Once again a happy painting 🙂
Good news 🙂
I love it that you explain everything in your paintings 🙂
Awesome Cindy… I will try to remember to continue that 🙂
Beautiful colors! I like the texture it seems to go with the floral arrangement.
So glad you like it Lana 🙂
Your detail pic is very interesting. It looks like you are enjoying the mineral paper although it looks like you would have trouble getting a smooth wash. It seems to be much like Yupo, a paper that I have decided is not for me – have fun!
Yes Val, that is one thing about the Mineral paper. You can get a smoother wash on Yupo. Although I have found that if I go back over an area a second time, it does smooth out. I am not sure why that is.
Love the photo of Detail of Day 8 texture. I want to go splatter some water and paint now.
It’s fun Dotty, that’s for sure 🙂
