Is it really the end of week one? So soon! Yup, it is.
I named this Light and Shadow because I goofed. The highlight on the vase and the shadow are on the same side. No, you’re right. There is a good explanation. There is a lamp on the left of the vase, and the bright light is reflecting off a mirror on the right. Makes perfect sense to me.
Had a busy day, so I kept it simple and quick. I took a chance on trying the mineral paper again. And I have to say it is growing on me. I still like Yupo better. (Have some on order.)
On Yupo, the dark spots on the foreground would have spread more. The rust color was very wet at the time. Also, the background is actually two different shades. A pink, and a flesh tone. There should be pockets of each, but they mingled into one. No worries. This one was fun.
My Pinterest board for this challenge is inspirational!

Fresh and charming. It is so apparent that you really love what you do!
So glad you like it Lana :o) But then you are a “flower girl” like me.
Glad today’s piece was less frustrating. I guess keeping it simple is a good way to go. – very sweet
Thanks Val 🙂 I was thinking of doing something different this time, but… why fight it huh?
I like the looseness of this bouquet. Can you talk a bit about mineral paper? This is new to me:)
I meant to include links Corinna… knew I forgot something. I will in the next post 🙂
As I wake up to a new day, the ink’s tidy encapsulation of irregularly shaped gifts of yellows/rusts and greens is giving me an upbeat feeling.
Awesome Dotty 🙂 Better than frosted flakes ‘ay? Lol
Congrats, Sheila….keep em coming! I love the yellows and pinks together and I love the spontaneous and free approach. I’m going to check out your pinterest board!
Thank you Laurie 🙂 I need to catch up on pinning to the board, think I am two days behind.
Love the simplicity!!!
Thanks Carol 🙂
