Not sure if this even looks like… anything. Not sure if it is post worthy, or done. I AM sure that I enjoyed painting it. I spent a good deal of time, just focused on the color, the tip of my brush, and having fun.
I was quite far along before I “saw” petals. And the one on the bottom was too small. Made me think of Nemo’s tiny fin. I went back in with water to make the petal larger. To “erase” color. Looking at it now, I think I need to go back in and round it out more.
I also played with the idea of cropping it to a square, and deepening the entire background with the indigo. This was a quick digital sketch, just to see how it felt.
What do you think?
Feeling better now that I am caught up! I have started my Pinterest board for this challenge, still need to add today’s . Check it out! And take a look at Leslie’s site, where the daily art is posted.
Happy Painting everyone! And Happy Downton returns Day!

So glad you are having fun! That’s what’s all about. You are braver than I am to ‘let it go’.
Lol, if you say so Pam. Not sure I feel brave 🙂
Beautiful! But I love the background of the first one… I wouldn’t change it. 🙂
Thank you Karin 🙂 It is great that I still have a digital copy of that image.
Sheila, loved opening your blog today to be greeted and enlivened by the vibrancy of your new painting! Thanks!
Thank You Dotty 🙂
Sheila- It is gorgeous. This is one of those times where I can’t believe someone has doubts….the composition, the beautiful blues, and the energy! The fact that you had so much fun with it is a bonus!
Wow, thanks so much Laurie 🙂 I don’t know what to say!
I really like it as is…but looking forward to seeing your changes Sheila.
Thanks Cindy! And thanks for following along 🙂
I think it is great although I would darken the background as you did with the square but leave the shape as is. Very cool!
Thanks Val! I will share the changes tomorrow 🙂
