This might just be the one.
Had another long day. On the road for most of it. But it was a great one. Anxious to catch up on what everyone created today. Didn’t start painting until 10:30 pm.
Really happy with how this quickie turned out. I used my Water Brush again, fun! The measurements are off a bit for the bookmark. But I think it still works when cropped. I cropped it in Photoshop, so the original is intact. 11:55 pm.

This one is fabulous! I really like the white division between the flower and the top – super job Sheila
Glad you like it Val, this is the one I turned in. Fingers crossed. I was so late posting I did not have time to mention it, but will when I post my collage.
I enjoy your sunflowers they have inspired me to try and paint some. Don’t you think that one of the perks for painting in watercolor is the gift of cropping. If I paint a picture and don’t like the results I can always move my mat around and find an area that I do like. Probably against the rules somewhere but hey we watercolorist have to have some perks:) Happy painting and congratulations early on painting 30 paintings.
Thank you for that sweet compliment Bobbi! Absolutely true, I agree, it is our prerogative! Happy painting to you as well, and high five on taking part in the challenge! I have really enjoyed seeing your work 🙂
You are a courageaous woman, Sheila! Painting so late!
The result is great! So much happiness in this painting!
Thanks Martine, I am so glad it made you smile 🙂
Love the composition on this one with the blossom at the bottom and all the radiating color coming out above it. A night owl! I didn’t know! 🙂
Yes, a night owl in a family of early birds, LOL.
Nice! I love, love that white around the petals. You are a dynamo-I agree with Dotty. I’m in dreamland by then!
Wish I had been dreaming 🙂 Thanks Laurie, so glad you like it 🙂
I’m so impressed that you could start painting at 1030p! I’m probably already in my second deep dream cycle by then. I’m drawn to the energy and warmth of this flower. It takes me to the timelessness of every summer I’ve ever lived. Did you try photoshop crops that left your flower to one side instead of centered? Don’t you just love being able to do virtual crops?
I do Dotty! I love being able to recreate in Photoshop. I did off center it, and I may show one tomorrow. That big blob of rust at the bottom right looked more like a mistake when it was to one side. But I love the blue and green off center. Maybe I will fix the blob a la PS and place it off center. Hmmm.
What a beautiful sight!! Great job on this one, Bravo!
Thanks so much Helen 🙂
Love it… sometimes the “quickies” come out the best!!!
Very true Carol! Hope you have fun today painting 🙂
