I am going to call this a sketch because it is tiny. I didn’t start painting until after ten pm. And the first try failed. Now I have a cheerful piece of scrap paper to use for …something.
Almost flubbed this one too. I went in with pen. TOO much pen. On the petals. I had to cover that up with yellow acrylic. The background also has a flesh toned acrylic, with pink and rust watercolor just because.
Had the idea to draw designs on the vase with white pen, but it’s too late to take any more chances. 30 minutes to midnight. Hey that could have been my title. But then the title would have been bigger than the sketch.

I am smitten by the soft soothing restful shadow, a sweet spot for a pause.
🙂 Thank you Dotty!
This is gorgeous in its simplicity Sheila! The shape of the vase is so cute!
Thank you Wendy 🙂 Your hydrangea was gorgeous!
Sheila, you crack me up! And as far as this “quick little sketch”, I love it. It’s simplicity, and the outlines, the red shadow. It’s sweet.
Thanks Laurie, glad I could return the favor. Elvis had me grinning from ear to ear 🙂
