They are done! Whew! I thought it would take me four days to paint them. Nine 6 x 6 gallery wrapped canvases. But I finished them in three days. I also started the 8 x 8 requested at the last-minute.
My first try with that one was a disaster. It is in browns, with small touches of blue, green and yellow. It looked like I had spilled chocolate sauce all over the canvas. And not in an artsy, Pollock inspired way. More like I tripped and splattered the sauce, and then slipped in the mess, and spilled even more.
But it is better now. More Cafe au lait, and less Nestle. Time for the lettering and two coats of matte polyurethane and they will be ready for delivery.

The best laugh of the day. I don’t know about the paintings but I’d like a photo of you covered in chocolate sauce. Of course anything chocolate works for me.
So glad Sea! Yup, there is always room for chocolate!
Love these, Sheila! <3
Thanks Karin 🙂
You will have to share the brown one when you are finished. Did you take pics of the slip and splash one – that gave me a chuckle. They are all lovely! – have a great day.
A laugh is a good thing. Yes I showed my friend the photo and she agreed it was awful. I will share them soon. Enjoy your day too Val!
Sheila, what a magnificent undertaking! What media did you use? What process? You’ve got me very curious. I offer a prayer of Thanksgiving for our connection through art, and for your making that connection.
Kind of a crazy undertaking so close to Thanksgiving! Lol. I will share more about them in a post later today. Dotty, you are so kind. I am thankful as well, that we can share our art, our journeys. I so enjoy visiting your blog, and hearing your thoughts on mine. Your friendship is a blessing!
