On a cool, rainy, GLORIOUS day. Window open. Painting.
Rain is such blessing, especially for all of those near the fires. The North fire yesterday on the Cajon pass was devastating for so many people. It is the main route from So. Cal. to Las Vegas. Prayers going out for all of those affected by it.
Can’t imagine being left on foot, in the desert, 30 miles from any sort of facilities. 20 cars were destroyed. 2 semi trucks. Feeling very blessed, and very thankful for the rain.
Sheila this is going to turn out lovely. I recognize that Windsor Newton travel set. I hope the rain comes gently.
Thanks so much, for your kind words Susan. I was trying to remember just today, how long I have had that set. Of course, I have refilled the pans many times.
Charming little painting Sheila. I agree about the rain. It has been dry here too and, although we don’t have a fire close by there is one on the other side of the lake. It is amazing how fast they can take over. We had a few days with rain but are back up to higher temperatures. The world is a strange place – fires in some areas and floods in others. Stay safe and keep painting!
Very true Val. And we are having some lightening in areas, I know they have closed the beaches. It doesn’t take much here for the rain to lead to flooding, but this is a slow steady rain, so hoping it will soak in 🙂 Hope the fire in your area is under control soon 🙂
You know what Sheila? The fire is on the radio over here! I thought about my online friends in California 🙁 I just heard it today. I hope you all keep safe!
My brother is a big rig driver, and he had driven that route twice the week before. It is the main road on a lot of routes. Thanks for the good thoughts, can’t believe it made your news! Blessings to you all as well!
Great Sheila! I am looking for my other sunflower photos to do some art for the summer. I cant find them at the moment, I know they are on one of my memory sticks! Well I will just have to visit the National Trust gardens again 🙂
Those look like happy flowers 🙂
Oh darn, sound like another visit will be pure torture! I am happy painting them… ha ha ha Thanks Cindy 🙂
