Today is the first day… of the rest of the month!
It is time for Leslie Saeta’s January 30 Paintings In 30 Days Challenge. Here is my Day One, a GIF for you. Three slides only. I added flecks of color, and then a few long strokes of pastel. Subtle. No title yet.
HAPPY SUPERCALIFRAGILISTIC 2015 to you! May all your days be blessed!
Oh, and the snow is still here. 75 degrees this weekend!
Pretty! Happy New Year to you too!
Thank you Chandra!
About 25 years ago a theatre student gave me a Christmas pin with Santa and Rudolph dancing in the snow – “There’s no business like snow business” – I wear it every year now. Enjoy the snow knowing the flowers are soon to follow, right?
That’s a sweet painting – I love the movement in the flowers – like they are dancing.
Ethel Merman is in my head now! ha ha The snow is an unexpected… gift! We so need the water! and melting over days… deep soak. Our golden hills will be green for a while 🙂 So nice to hear fro you Jim 🙂
Happy New Year, Sheila!! You’re off to a great start! 🙂 We have snow here, too. It’s been frigid cold..only 11F yesterday with a strong bitter wind on top of it. Today 31F felt (almost) balmy. The only way to stay warm is painting!!!
I like the way you think Katie! We barely hit 50 degrees today, brrrr.
Beautiful, Sheila! Happy 2015!
Thanks Samara! Hope you have a creative 2015 🙂
It’s lovely. Love the idea she has to set her palette ahead of time and keep paints stored in jars. Love this. Good way to paint with colors you love and save time! Thanks for the link and for sharing your beautiful art!
Thanks Vivayne! I heard Vegas got some snow too 😮 I liked Leslie’s idea too 🙂 Thanks for saying hello 🙂
My Dad said he had some (near Boulder City) but I didn’t see any here. today was gorgeous though!
It is pretty out! So crisp! Enjoy your day Vivayne 🙂
You too!
Lightens the heart Sheila. That is a great achievement. Poppies~delightful!
Thank you Susan 🙂
This is my favorite kind of snow: here today and gone tomorrow!
That is the best kind Teresa! We still have lots on the ground, and it may be here a couple more days. The roads are dry, so that is good. Thanks for visiting 🙂
excellent! stay warm but enjoy the snow
love,
Dad
Thanks Dad 🙂 It is not melting, only 40 degrees right now. That’s good, it will soak instead of run off 🙂
Happy New Year, Sheila! Love the vivid blue sky and the speckles.
Thanks so much Pam 🙂
fresh, fun and lovely
Thanks so much CheyAnne 🙂 Looking forward to seeing your work 🙂
Still WOW! Can’t believe the snow is lingering! Your painting expresses just how I would like to feel today. It makes me happy!
I don’t know why, but I couldn’t comment as I usually do, so I just commented on this reply???
Hmm, those glitches really bug me! ha ha So glad you stopped by Karin, and thank you 🙂 I was playing with some new paints, and those colors were calling me. Flowers are always happy aren’t they? Maybe that is why God made them for us 🙂 (Not to mention all the healing benefits.)
Thanks Shelia
